Abalone mushroom belongs to the Oyster mushroom family and sometimes is confused with King Oyster. The Abalone mushroom is named after the sea shellfish, abalone, due to its shape and texture. The skin of Abalone mushroom is ivory white with small golden lines and perforations through its surface. The meat is firm, spongy and slippery with buttery flavor.
Abalone mushroom is a good source of Iron, Phosphorous, Vitamins and Minerals.
