Established in 1996, Guan’s Mushroom is a leading grower and distributor of fresh specialty mushrooms in North America, with three farms in California and five distribution centers located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, West Grove and Toronto.

We are UNIQUE. Throughout our farms along the Pacific Coastline, we have a total growing area of 1.5 million square feet. The clean, cool, moist environment provides an excellent natural growing condition for mushrooms. With advanced technology and 20 plus years of experience in the mushroom industry, we insist on ecological cultivation and natural growing conditions. Grown without pesticides or fertilizers, the mushrooms we produce are pure in taste.

We ensure QUALITY. In order to provide mushrooms of the highest quality, Guan’s strictly adheres to industry standards, regulations and policies, such as the standard Good Agricultural Practice (GAP), the Mushroom Good Agricultural Practices (MGAP), the USDA, the Food Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point program (HACCP). Additionally, we conduct several internal and external audits every year to ensure that our company is always meeting the requirements of providing safe, quality products that our customers have come to expect. Our employees are always up to date on Worker Hygiene, Farm Sanitation Standards, Working Environment safety and Pest Control.
Sustainable Mushroom Farming at Guan’s
One of the core strategies at Guan’s Mushroom is the practice of sustainable farming. From our raw materials, to composting and the use of modern techniques, our goal is to provide environmentally safe and nutritious mushrooms to our consumers.
Managing temperature and humidity in the growing houses is critical to the production and quality of our mushrooms. We have adapted an advanced HVAC programming system to minimize energy consumption while still increasing production.
Water management also plays a large role in the growing process. Guan’s is in the process of implementing the best sustainable water management plan for our company; such as grey water storage, recycling systems, bio-filtration swales and land application of wash water.
We continue to move forward and find new ways of sustainable growing methods for the future growth of our farms.
